NBA Bulletin
The NBA Bulletin is the official publication of the National Braille Association. It is published quarterly and included in the price of the regular and student NBA membership. A yearly subscription is available at a slightly higher rate to organizations and non-members.
A partial listing of the contents of each issue includes a message from our president, a report of internal organizational matters such as actions taken by the board of directors, a calendar of events and information about upcoming professional development conferences, articles and information generally of interest to transcribers, and various order forms and applications.
In addition, the fall, winter and spring issues have at least one instructional/information article prepared by the committee for each of the braille skills areas covered by NBA:
- Computer-Assisted Transcription
- Educational Materials (textbook format)
- Foreign Language
- Literary Braille
- Mathematics and Science
- Music Braille
- Tactile Graphics
- Transcriber and Educator Services
The summer issue serves as our annual handbook. It has our complete publication list, other lists of resources, general news and information, and the annual cumulative index of articles published in the previous year
New this year! The registration information and form for professional development conferences will now be included in the Bulletin. There will no longer be a separate mailing of these materials.
Look for registration forms and information for the spring 2008 Professional Development Conference in Dallas in the Winter 2007-2008 Bulletin.
(Webmaster Note: Downloadable copies of these forms are available on this website.)
