I am transcribing a script (w/permission of course), for a middle school student, of a professional production of a modern musical play . I am following Braille Formats- R9, prose play.

My question is what to do with the lyrics. There is a listing of the songs after the cast of characters but the lyrics are interspersed throughout the play with no indication of the title. Do I include the lyrics in the same format as in print? I don't see how he will be able to read the lyrics as fast as they are singing them and my cause him to fall behind/lose his place when the spoken words resume . Would an appendix of the songs/lyrics be more appropriate so as not to interrupt the flow of the spoken words?

Please tell me if a rule exists that covers this or please give me your thoughts/opinions.

    Thanks!

    Hi Rebecca,

Please repost your question on the Formats Board as the question you are asking is a Formats question.
    Thanks,

    Jana
