NBA’s Newest Publication
While we continue to prep for the 2016 Fall Professional Development Conference this coming October, we’ve been reviewing previous workshop materials to make them available to you. This month, we’re releasing a publication that has been presented at a few previous conferences and written by Jan Carroll.
As both a Past President of NBA and the Chair of our Computer-Assisted Braille Committee, Jan brings years of experience in using computer software that assists transcribers in producing an array of braille materials. She has spent countless hours in researching and developing methods for utilizing Duxbury Braille Translator to work with a long list of electronic file extensions.
In the Duxbury Braille Translator Quick Reference Guide for BANA Template Users, Jan provides a resource for those working in both DBT and Microsoft Word. Actions like setting up document page preferences, attaching the BANA template to MS Word documents, saving to various file extensions and clever shortcut keys are among the activities covered.
For a more detailed description of the publication or to purchase, you can view Duxbury Braille Translator Quick Reference Guide for BANA Template Users right in our online store found here. The cost of the publication is $33.00 in both print edition or ebook, and either format is available to current NBA members at $22.00 when signed in to your member profile on the site. As always, there is no additional cost for shipping and handling within the U.S.
