Update On Our 2020 Professional Development Conference

Many of you have reached out asking for an update about our 2020 Professional Development Conference scheduled to take place this November in San Antonio, Texas.

Regarding our conference, please note this message from Cindi Laurent, President of the National Braille Association.

The NBA board has been considering all of the options regarding our fall conference in San Antonio. Though we would love to come together to further our skills, knowledge and friendships, we feel it is in the best interest of our membership for us to cancel the face-to-face conference. 

We want our members to be safe and to feel comfortable traveling and it seems, with things the way they are, that might not be true even as late as early November.  We are currently looking into other options to provide, virtually, some type of conference or meeting with quality training and interactions among the members. Please stay tuned for more information.

I’d also like to note that we are keeping the same venue for our 2021 conference. We hope to see you all in San Antonio in 2021.
