    Please look at the second paragraph in the attached file. Several sentences from the top is axial load L<sub>a, m </sub>

    When I enclose it in Nemeth indicators and translate it into Duxbury I get and ow sign in front of the m. There is no comma shown.

    I am sending a braille file to show what I think it should look like. Am I right?

    The first example is the way Duxbury translated the line. The second example is the way I think it should look.

    Hi Susan. Thank you for your question. Actually, the DXB translation is correct. The "ow" symbol is the contracted form of the comma which is used to represent the comma and the space in the subscript position. Nemeth Code, Section 78, is where you will find the rule.

    Wow thank you I am surprised. I thought I had already read the whole book by now. Evidently not!!
