    Hi Cindi,

Last question in regards to the play that I am transcribing.

Some of the notes on the left side of the page refer to more than one word on the numbered line. The example in 16.7.1 has page number 14 added to both reference marks. Mine are not labeled that way, see attachment.

I understand that additional paragraphs within notes are in 5-3, which I use when it says to refer to a different note/lines within the play.

Would I add the number line to the additional notes (sometimes there are three) so that the student knows that the note refer to the same line?

    Thank you for your assistance,

    Barb Tyson

See BF 16.7.1 which says "Treat multiple-marked or unmarked reference points on the same line as separate references.". There is an example there also which shows that you repeat the line number for each note. All notes still use the 1-3 margin.
