    Rodney,

I do not see any attachment. Can you please try to attach again and if needed you can send the attachment to me at cstone@nationalbraille.org.

    Dear Expert,

B.F. 10.5.1 states, “Omit lines, dashes, circles, boxes, or other print devices printed before or after questions, indicating where students are to answer questions.”

Although the rules say to omit the boxes, I feel that the boxes should be included ONLY because text mentions the boxes. Should I include the boxes or not? And can you please give an in-depth answer. Thank you and have a great day

    Rodney,

The rule would apply here and the boxes would be omitted. The instructions and format assist the student and this is not expendable material.

One scenario in text where material mentions boxes that is maintained in braille is when it refers to a section of  text such as a side bar or boxed material within text material that needs to be set apart.

    Hope this helps,

    Connie

Can you take a look at the attachment, on page 13.

Read the passages and answer the questions that follow.

Would you consider this 10.3 Directions 10.3.2 which uses 5-5 margins for unnumbered or unlettered directions. Or 10.3.4 Assignments or Activities which uses 3-1 or block 1-1.

    Rodney,

With the information that you have provided and not seeing the actual page it appears it is directions in 5-5, since the material is followed by questions.
