Hi Joanna - hope life is treating you well and a thank-you in advance for your explanations.

In the book we are brailling, every chapter begins with the first paragraph blocked at the margin. And then the following paragraphs are indented.

    1.  Do we indent the first paragraph so all the paragraphs are formatted the same way?
    2. If not, and we must block the first paragraph ... do we then follow with a blank line only between paragraph 1 and paragraph 2?

    1. Unless all the paragraphs are the same, you need to follow print.  So block the first paragraph of each chapter and indent the rest.
    2. According to 1.8.3 of Braille Formats blank lines are required preceding a blocked paragraph (unless it follows a cell 5 or cell 7 heading), not following it.  You only need a blank line before the blocked paragraph.
