    Hello,

I have a running head that is fully capitalized, but I need extra space for my page numbers. I know that Formats 1.8.2 e. states that I am able to adjust capitalization or choose key words from the title.

I have already choose key words. Am i able to have no capitals at all? Some page numbers are combined so the ref page is taking up  to nine spaces on some pages.

This is something that I  lost points on in my exam.

    Thank you for your assistance,

    Barb Tyson

    Barb,

I understand this can be difficult. I try to keep at least the capital on the first word. Can you share the key words you have picked as your running head? Can they be abbreviated? Sometimes there are no other choices to maintain the 3 cells on either side of the running head.

    Hi Connie,

The book is THE UNFORGETTABLE LOGAN FOSTER. I was going to use UNFORGETTABLE LOGAN FOSTER for the running head. Even if I use initial capitals there is still not enough space on the pages that are combined.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

    Barb,

If you do not need more than the 9 cells for the page reference numbers then single capitalizing Unforgettable Logan Foster will fit.

If it is still not enough, here are some suggestions:

    unforgettable Logan Foster

    Unforgettable  Foster

Abbreviate Unforgettable and single capitalize Logan Foster

Remove all capitals, the rule states that you can adjust capitalization

I hope this gives you some options to choose from that will assist you.
