    I need to spread out the words in a sentence so they match the spacing in the line below.  Can I still use a passage indicator if the words in the passage are separated by more than one space, such as:

    This       is     a     spread-out     passage.

    This is really more of a UEB literary question, but I'll answer it 🙂

    Though there is no specific rule for this, a passage indicator stays in effect until it is terminated...so extra spaces would make no differ1ent. Use a passage indicator.
