The attachment you are referring to was probably downloaded from the BANA website. See my attachment for location.
Bettybetty.marshallParticipantThank you for checking.
Laurabetty.marshallParticipantI have checked with others who are familiar with California examination format, and this is the answer I received.
In the past, the standards number was required in the transcription of textbooks. The transcriber should check with the agency that she is doing the project for to be sure. If needed, it should be consistent with other tests in the series. It could be placed at the end of the question in brackets, and a TN could be used to let the reader know that it was moved.
I hope this information helps!
Bettybetty.marshallParticipantI believe that according to Rule VIII Abbreviations, Section 49.a.vi., these are considered "special abbreviations confined to a particular field". According to Rule IX, Section 55.c.ii., since the examples you have sited are neither a single letter or correspond to a short-form word, that you would be able to use the contract for "to" unspaced before the abbreviation.
betty.marshallParticipantAlthough I would personally choose to use a tactile graphic, I have checked and other committee members would use the table format you suggested. Just be consistent with whatever method you choose.

betty.marshallParticipantI would suggest that you contact the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (Library of Congress, Washington), since it was them who originally published this textbook.

betty.marshallParticipantFor a rule see page 15 Rule II--Section 11c in The Nemeth Code.
betty.marshallParticipantThe example which you attached should be done as a tactile graphic. It is best not to use braille cells to try to create the lines, but you could certainly emboss the braille numbers in your file and then use a spur wheel to create the horizontal and vertical lines -- just make sure that there is sufficient space on all sides to create the grid without crowding the braille.
