it is just a cap Y followed by the equal sign, no spaces. This would be enclosed within a key stroke symbol and termination sign.
Chris ClemensKeymaster
Should the ow contraction be used in the proper name Wolfowitz?
The contraction may be used in the proper name Wolfowitz if the ow falls in the same syllable. If the word is pronounced Wolf-o-witz, I would not used the contraction.
Hope this helps.Jana
Chris ClemensKeymasterDorothy, I will try.

Chris ClemensKeymasterBraille Formats Rule 8 §9 (Update 2007) says to limit the skeleton to two blank rows.
Chris ClemensKeymasterThanks. The actual number itself is circled.
Chris ClemensKeymasterArrows pertaining to number lines need to be drawn (tactiley). It is recommended that you don't use curved shafts, but make the lines straight with right angles instead of curves. Is the actual number circled or is it the scale mark for number 2 that is circled?
Chris ClemensKeymasterCould you insert the picture into a word document and attach that file? I don't think I can give an answer without seeing the problem. Dorothy
Chris ClemensKeymasterThank you very much.
KathyChris ClemensKeymasterThank you so much. I absolutely agree with you regarding the internal comma. I have been putting a space after the comma all along and for some reason today I started questioning it. Thanks for siteing the rule. I now have it flagged in my book.
Chris ClemensKeymasterI would put a space following the comma. To do otherwise would make it look like an internal comma, would it not? In rule VI §43 there is a comment following examples 7 (x,y) and 8 (-3,2) which states "no space after comma in print; in braille, space required after a comma used as a punctuation mark"
Chris ClemensKeymasterThis looks to me like a linked expression requiring special margins. It is displayed. The signs of comparison are vertically aligned in print. Only on the first line is the sign of comparison preceded by an expression on its left. Calling it a proof does not change the format defined by the Nemeth Code.
I would start the "proof" in cell 5 (2 cells to the right of the runover margin) with all of the comparison signs aligned in cell 7 -- runovers to both the anchor and the links will be in cell 9. A tn similar to the following may precede your "proof".
Each step in the print expression is followed by a blank to be filled in except for the final step.
I am attaching a word document with my suggestion in simbraille.
Chris ClemensKeymasterThe closing boxing line should not go on a page by itself. Neither should you eliminate it. If you have room to start the box on the previous page, that would be the best option. If there is not room to start the box at the bottom of the previous page, you will have to bring the last line of the boxed material to the next page, followed by the boxing line.
