Yes. It doesn't matter if there is one volume or 30...The End goes at the end of the book (enclosed in TN indicators).

Yes, end of volume statements are enclosed in transcriber's notes indicators and placed on the final page.

First. Sorry for the delay in responding. Our site is having issues.

Then...I can't see the braille so I can't really answer. But if I understand your question... The asterisks don't require a blank line, but the blocked paragraph, heading, and break in context do. So yes, a blank line is required... Not because of the asterisks but because of the other stuff.

If I did not understand correctly, let me know and I'll try again. 😁

There is no requirement for a blank line following a transcribers note. There is no requirement for a blank line preceding an indented paragraph. If the material on the back cover was a list or a blocked paragraph then yes...but in this case no blank line is required.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Our site is having notification issues. If you have not already handled this situation, my answer is that there is no rule or guideline for this. My opinion is not to number as there are no numbers in print.

Print should be followed for all titles. Title case can be used in running heads when space is an issue. As noted, it can also be used in the contents but only when the entire contents is in upper case.

What did you do above that with Barn House Burning?

Poems are not lists...but there really isn't a rule about how to do the emphasis here. If you consider the 1-3 format a list, then you would need to restart the emphasis on each line. As I said, I would not. I would consider it text in an alternate format...and treat the emphasis as I would if the whole thing were just a paragraph. Open it before the italics begin and close it where they end.

    There is no attached 'snip'.

in reply to: Box on line 25, page change and alphabetic page number #39777

BF 1.14.1c is pretty specific that alphabetic page numbers are placed on line 1 if there is no running head. Usually I would say that since the box ends on line 25, the text that follows would need to be on line 2 (with no running head) or 3 (with running head) to account for the blank line. Since the print page number will still be on line 1, I feel that the alphabetic print page number should be as well. There could be a case for putting the text on line 3...which would still account for the blank line following the box line...but nothing in BF says specifically to do that. The alphabetic page number needs to follow the page change indicator - in this case there is no page change indicator - it's implied...so I am confident that putting the alphabetic number on line 1 follows the "intent" of BF.

The blank line at the top of the page is something that the BANA Formats committee is trying to address in errata or in some other way - to more clearly state what should be done. As of today, that information is not available. So choose your method and then be consistent.

I don't believe this IS verse line-numbered material. It's more like a play...consider it prose. And yes, then you would insert three blank spaces at the beginning of a braille line...and number every line (as it is prose). The first bit is the introductory paragraph, then your dialog would be 1-3. The italicized  parts that start with Marta appear to be stage directions to me (blocked in 7).

I think BF, in this case, is looking at the simple and what you have is very complex. The method you have suggested works well - just be consistent for all the slides and the reader will understand what is going on in the print.

Slides and presentations are always difficult to present in braille. Good job!

It sounds to me like the person was just putting a "place holder" page in the braille which will be replaced with the actual tactile page once that tactile is produced...but I may be misunderstanding what you are saying.

If that is not the case, please clarify for me.

The second option you've shown is the preferred option. The use of contractions is always preferred for readers.
