ParticipantI think it is a winner also, it seems clear to me and I hope to the student.

ParticipantI agree that the numeric indicators should not be in a column with a number. I also agree with the way you did question 14. I did question 13 a little differently based on the fact that the fraction in a mixed number has a repeated numeric indicator. See the attached example. Please look at it and see what you think and then I will change my workbook to match whatever you decide. Thanks, Lynnette

ParticipantThanks, Cindi. That's is what I told the student and he will have to take care of it from there.

ParticipantIt is a handwritten note from my father attached to a recipe for orange marmalade. I am going to use it in a workshop because it is hard to find examples of script.

ParticipantThanks Cindi, I just couldn't find a citation for it.

ParticipantI have to say that I don't believe that this is reasonable. Nowhere in the rules would this be stated and surely the rules are more important that the lessons.
It also seems to me that compound hyphenated words should be an exemption from this statement as there is discussion about dividing them in both the UEB rules and Braille Formats.
But, thanks for the quick reply.

ParticipantThanks Julie,
The explanation of must sort of makes sense. I will have to look up mustard to see how it fits. Goody is just completely arbitrary and the students will just have to live with it.

ParticipantGood eye, Lynnette! You are right. I have attached a fixed transcription. I didn't intend to split it there, but my eye was caught by the equal sign. I should have someone proofread my responses!
