ParticipantThank you, Cindy.

ParticipantWe have found a solution to this issue, the copier company technician was able to come out and work with us to adjust the settings on our common copier/printer/scanner. So far, so good we are able to place the microcapsule paper directly into the bypass tray and copy our tactile graphic images directly onto the paper. No jamming to date!

ParticipantThank you Dan, that was helpful.

ParticipantThank you for the quick response Cindy. APH is using these guidelines now in production of BOP, so I thought we might be able to see a draft.

ParticipantKyle,
Maryland here again with more questions. My 1st instinct is to use Nemeth Code within UEB for these number expressions using the nemeth right arrows? shape indicators? etc. But I don't feel confident without running these past you first.
We do appreciate your advice.

ParticipantKyle,
Thank you so much, you clarification does help.
Wondering about the graduated cylinder though would the 50 ml not require this to be in Nemeth Code as well?
Thermometers are also a question for us, Nemeth code or UEB Literary? Would the degree indicator being present require Nemeth?
Thank you for your quick reply as well.
Sally.

ParticipantCindy is the Required Special Symbols list you posted on July 4th in Braille Order?
Ex: Dot Locator
Arrow Symbol
Line mode indicators ....

ParticipantCindi, yes these documents are all shown as blocked paragraphs, but I was thinking that they are like a formal correspondence. So, I was applying the Rule in Instruction Manual for Braille Transcribing Section 13.10b. Would this not apply to these? Thanks again.

ParticipantThe current feeling is that a statement should be added to the title page stating that the book is done in UEB. That way you don't have to look past the first page to know what code is used. This may change. At the moment I would call this an agency decision. A note on the title page would be acceptable.
