Who Is An NBA Member?
Our members are braille transcribers, teachers of the visually impaired, accessible media producers, and others dedicated to the production of high quality braille materials. Some may work as volunteers, some own transcription businesses, and others work in schools. Among our ranks there are individuals who oversee braille transcription programs in prisons, and those who train other transcribers. Regardless of their exact role, all NBA members are dedicated to ensuring that braille readers receive consistent, high quality materials.
The National Braille Association is headquartered in the United States, but we have members in other countries and around the globe.

Membership Types
All memberships have access to the same benefits, but there are a few options available to tailor your membership experience to your needs.
Our Bulletin is available in multiple formats: Braille, Print, and Digital. All memberships have access to the Bulletin digitally in the member section of our website. If you'd like a hardcopy print edition mailed, there is an additional $10 fee. If you would like hardcopy braille mailed to you, this option is avilable to those who need it at no additional cost.
